A spin-off of Princeton University, the company's three scientific founders have over 120 years of cumulative fusion science and engineering experience. They have held leadership positions in the world's foremost fusion laboratories in the USA, UK, Germany, and France.

Stellarex is applying the significant advantages of the stellarator approach to fusion energy development. Founded in 2022, the company is located in Toronto, Ontario, and Princeton, New Jersey.

BRINGING FUSION ENERGY TO EARTH

With the goal of developing and deploying nuclear fusion energy, Stellarex has established strategic partnerships with leading international fusion energy R&D institutions, national laboratories, and one of North America’s largest electricity generators and nuclear power operators.

These relationships include the Max-Planck Institute, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, the US Department of Energy Savannah River National Laboratory, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, and Ontario Power Generation.

CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Stellarex has built a Canadian fusion ecosystem that brings together a national laboratory, a power operator, and key industrial and academic partners. The company is exploring the creation of a Center of Excellence for Fusion Energy.

The mission of the Center of Excellence for Fusion Energy would be to drive the development of sustainable, reliable, and affordable baseload fusion power through the design, construction, and operation of a demonstration reactor.
